Christmas 2006

So Catherine cleaned house this year! Bill and I didn't do too bad ourselves, either. Here are just a few of our many photos from Christmas.

Christmas Decorating

I know, I know, it has been forever since I havev updated this! It is most likely that you aren't even checking anymore. Anyway, we were decorating for Christmas, and Catherine decided to give us a hand. Before anyone gets too upset, the wrapper is ON the Candy Cane.

Play Gym

Here are some photos we took after our Trick or Treating adventure. They play gym is being used as intended finally!

First Halloween

Catherine went Trick or Treating this year as a pumpkin. We took her to Grandma Ellen's houes, and to some of our friends' houses. This year was more fun for Mommy and Daddy than it was for Catherine, but we all had a great time. Notice in the second picture who is actually holding the bag of candy. We give a big thanks to Grandma Trish for supplying both the costume and treat bag!

Growth

I took the first picture on 10-27-06 and the second picture on 10-01-06. I can't believe how much she's grown in just a month!! This is Catherine's favorite outfit, by the way. Everytime I ask her what she wants to wear, she says, "The blue jump suit!" Okay, so she really just smiles and grunts every time I hold up the blue jump suit up as an option.

New Football Outfit

My mom got this adorable OSU outfit for Catherine to wear on football Saturdays. So far, so good. OSU is still undefeated. OH! IO!

Baby Picture Comparison

So, all I ever hear is, "Boy does that baby look like Bill!" To which I kindly reply, "Yes, yes she does." After a few weeks I started thinking that perhaps my husband had impregnated me with an entire child, to whom I contributed no genetic material. My mom, being the wonderful person she is, dug up these photos of me as a baby, and what do you know, maybe Catherine is my baby, too!

Fun Times

Yesterday Miss Catherine was in such a good mood, and was showing off for the camera. I took these while she was in her Pack n' Play.

So, life has been a bit crazy, and getting time to get photos up impossible. I got this picture today, though, and just absolutely had to share it! I hope you all enjoy.

Football Saturday

So we try our best to go to our friend's house on Saturdays for OSU football games. This week was a particuarly exciting game against Penn State because several of our friends attend school there. We had a lot of fun, and as you can see, Catherine was sweet talking Jacob the entire time.

Oh and for the record, OSU won. :)

A Party for NeNe

Since we could not make it to the cabin, last weekend we had our own party to celebrate NeNe's 90th birthday. Here are a few pictures we took. Check email for more photos.

I've learned how to post, too!

Okay, so Bill has taught me how to update this page, too. Hopefully we will be more on top of things now. However, my days are quite busy, and finding time to have both hands free to type is harder than I ever thought possible.

To answer a common question: the baby is sleeping fairly well at night, and we are getting plenty of rest. The hours we are keeping are a bit odd, but we are not nearly as exhusted as I hear most new parents are.

My mom pointed out that in the hospital picture the baby is giving the camera the "double finger". I hadn't noticed until she said something. This was in response to me telling her that we took a picture yesterday where she is giving me "the finger" while nursing. Perhaps I'll find some time to post the pic soon.

Welcome home, Catherine!

We're home! Here's a quick pic of the cats' opinions of our daughter.

Wah!

Yesterday when E and I were at the Durham Regional nursery, we heard a baby cry. We looked at each other and said, "That's Catherine crying." And sure enough, it was. I had always thought it was a myth that parents could recognize their baby's cry in a room full of crying babies!

Happy Birthday, Catherine!

Catherine Reese was born at 5:38am this morning! E and I instantly bonded with her, which was an amazing experience. I dropped by the house this afternoon to catch a wink of sleep and a shower while the moms were hanging out, and I cleverly forgot to bring my camera with me, so infant pictures will have to wait a bit. Hopefully tonight or tomorrow morning!

9 days late

Oops, looks like I missed 8 days late. Too busy playing games and watching movies with E and our moms. Anyway, our daughter is 9 days late today.

7 days late

Day 7 of Baby Watch! We're hoping she comes this weekend. The docs will induce her early next week otherwise.

6 days late. The Beast Baby says she is having fun building up the anticipation.

5 days late

I was kinda rooting for the 23rd, since that's my lucky number. Would have been appropriate. E was hoping for the 23rd because she's finding this whole 9 months pregnant thing to be a bit tedious.

4 days late

And only 6 days remaining til she's evicted from the premises.

3 Days Late

Day 3 of Baby Watch. Our daughter is apparently still looking for the exit. She regularly kicks E to inform her there's not enough room to stretch out anymore.

2 Days Late

Our little girl hasn't arrived yet! E's more than ready to have her belly to herself again.
