Semantics

Catherine: Can Grandma come over right now?
Mom:  No, she can't.
Catherine:  Why?
Mom:  Because she is coming this evening to babysit you and Chase while Mommy and Daddy go out to eat.
Catherine:  Chase and I aren't really babies anymore.  You should say she is coming to kidsit instead.

I really, truly love conversation with three year old kids.

I can't wait for that with Aspen! It's amazing how kids pick up sayings or new ways of wording things and you know they didn't get it from you. Evidence that they don't just repeat what friends/parents say - they actually process and develop!! hehe - Greg E

It is awesome, Greg. Even when they say things that you may not like, such as "You're messing up all my fun!" (a favorite of Catherine's when we tell her to stop doing something dangerous such as flipping off the couch) it is still awesome. And, you know, the girl's gotta point: they really aren't babies anymore.
